Mareeg.com-Somalia’s political cartoonist Amin Amir Mohamed and journalist Dahir Abdulle Alasow became the most hated in Somalia between the years 2006 to 2009 for their publication of paintings and sensitive articles defying the radicalism by the Islamists in the horn of Africa’s war-torn nation ‘Somalia’.
Amin Amir began publishing his caricatures over the violations done by the Islamic Courts Union soon after their takeover the control of south-central Somalia.
Amir’s political cartoons on the facts on the ground are the most viewed and interested in and outside of Somalia as his official website www.aminarts.com became one of the widely visited Somali sites.
Dahir Abdulle Alasow, who runs the website of www.waagacusub.com was the first professional journalists that wrote about the start of Islamist extremism of Al-Shabaab from 2006 to 2010. Many Somalis disgusted Alasow for his articles showing the imminent risks from the support of Al-Shabaab and discovering the real name of Al-Shabaab’s militant leader Ahmed Abdi Aw Mohamud Godane who called himself as (Sheik Mukhtar Abu-Zubeyr).
He shed the light on the true color of Al-Shabaab militant group which Washington linked into the international terror network ‘Al-Qaeda’
Dahir Alasow, A senior Radio and TV journalist, a leader of a press watchdog ASOJ, the editor of waagacusub.com, and outstanding commentator with fearless check on actions of the political groups and others players through investigative journalism, plus defender of the public interest and voice to the voiceless through "the truthful tip of his truth pen"
The public support to Islamic insurgency in Somalia caused widespread abhorrence to the cartoonist Amin Amir and journalist Dahir Alasow but in 2010 they drawn the intention most Somalis because of their publishes as their websites became the most interested.
The Al-Qaeda linked group of Al-Shabaab threatened to kill Alasow and Amir but both men are still safe and live in Netherlands and Canada.
Alasow’s website www.waagacusub.com became the most logged on site by Somalis for its coverage over insightful news stories on the current and futures events.
Two years ago, Al-Shabaab militants banned people under their controlled areas from viewing waagacusub site as several people including journalists were killed for suspicion of working with Waagacusub media.
Some people believe that Alasow as man linking to Somalia’s top intelligence officers because of the documents published such the suicide bomber in Shamow Hotel in Mogadishu on 3 December 2009.
Dahir Alasow brings out factual news, articles and predictions on the political situation in Somalia as the current president Sharif Sheik Ahmed who was presaged by Alasow as he was the man allotted for the leadership of Somalia.

i think all these men should just buzz off and let a woman be in power for a change for the whole country.. east, west, south and north of somalia. I think an educated woman with both cultural and religious values should lead this country for a change, I strongly believe that a woman will be more concerned with most people's welfare and needs.

Somalia: Ahlu Sunna amassing troops in Mogadishu
MOGADISHU (Mareeg)—Officials from Ahlu Sunna waljama’a religious organization said Monday they have started amassing troops in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
The officials who are members of newly committee that was formed in Caabud Waaq district in Galgadud region in central Somalia say they completed the training of fighters from their side and they will soon participate an offensive against al Shabaab and Hizbul Islam groups.
The Somali fragile government has been planning major offensive against the rebels to recapture Mogadishu for the past several months.
A power sharing agreement signed In Addis Ababa, Ethiopia between Ahlu Sunna Walajama’a (ASWJ) and the Somali government saw a united force against the Islamist militants in the country.
Sheikh Abubakar Ahmed Ali, an official of ASWJ told reporters in Mogadishu that they have completed the organizing of their forces that will take part in Mogadishu operations and will also start fighting against the Islamist militants across the other regions in the country.
Al Shabaab spokesman Sheikh Ali Mohamud Rage announced recently that they will take over Mogadishu before the government completes its preparation of the war.

Sheikh Abubakar Ahmed Ali, an official of ASWJ told reporters in Mogadishu that they have completed the organizing of their forces that will take part in Mogadishu operations and will also start fighting against the Islamist militants across the other regions in the country.
Al Shabaab spokesman Sheikh Ali Mohamud Rage announced recently that they will take over Mogadishu before the government completes its preparation of the war.

i think all these men should just buzz off and let a woman be in power for a change for the whole country.. east, west, south and north of somalia. I think an educated woman with both cultural and religious values should lead this country for a change, I strongly believe that a woman will be more concerned with most people's welfare and needs.
