Government official says they got secret information of planned attacks

MOGADISHU ( Mareeg.com)– The district commissioner of Derkenley district in the Somali capital Mogadishu Mr. Ahmed Hassan Adow (Ahmed Da’i) has Saturday said that they got secret information that Al-shabab planned to attack the military bases of the TFG in parts of the district in the capital.





Heavy fighting between Al-shabab forces and the military troops of the Somali government had left the lives of about 10 while more others wounded as the Islamist fighters attacked parts of Derkenley district in south of Mogadishu yesterday.



Mr. Da’i said that the transitional government forces had bitterly fought with the rebels claiming victories over the fighting adding that they killed more of the fighters as the clash with shelling continued at Hosh neighborhood in Derkenley on Friday.



“We are going with the organizing operations continuing. We got all the information. They want to take control of Hosh neighborhood and the other areas in Derkenley and Wadajir district in Mogadishu” said Ahmed Da’i



The district commissioner had held press conference in Mogadishu and said that they had deployed more other forces to the areas where the fighting happened on Friday morning to protect the planning operations that the Islamist forces want take over their positions in areas under their control calling for the rebels to halt from attacking the transitional government of Somalia.
