MOGADISHU (Mareeg)--Remaining civilians in Mogadishu have started Saturday to flee from their houses in the capital Mogadishu after they have felt military movement from the Somali government.
The move comes as more government soldiers have been deployed in the front bases where the government is facing the Islamist rebels fightingagainst the Somali government and the African Union Troops.
More civilians have started to flee from Hodan, Hawlwadag and Deynile districts in Mogadishu.
More government soldiers have been deployed in Warshadaha street in Mogadishu on Saturday and reports say heavy fighting is inevitable.
The rebels have also brought in the capital more militias from the regions under their control to defend attacks from the government soldiers backed by the African Union Troops.
most of the civilians are fleeing to Afgoye town 30 km south of Mogadishu and areas near by.
Thousands of families have been fleeing to Afgoye and villages near by since early 2007 when Ethiopian troops entered Somalia.
Ethiopia withdrew its troops from Somalia in 2008, but the Islamist rebels continued to fight against the Somali government and the African Peace keepers knowns AMISOM in Mogadishu.
